Church Square Going
FILM-GUESTHOUSE "WILDER KAISER“ AND CHURCH WITH CEMETERY
The church square is the heart of Going. It is one of the main filming locations for the series "Der Bergdoktor". Here you can find the beautiful late baroque church and the film Guesthouse "Wilder Kaiser".
In real life, the "Dorfkrämerhaus" is the home of Johann Gschwendtner. Johann can tell you a thing or two about the fact that things get pretty busy during filming and the elderly landlord only has his room as a place of retreat. On the other hand, he enjoys the peace and quiet on his days off from filming - so please allow him this time and only admire the "Wilder Kaiser" from the outside.
The interior shots are filmed at the Gasthof Föhrenhof in Ellmau. Sometimes everything is not always as real as it seems in the film - the supposed pharmacy is actually the rectory and the film graves at the cemetery are built especially for the shoot. A little retouching is still needed for the police sign at the municipal office and the church square in Going has already become a beautiful film location.
